A couple's sensual journey from the strictures of their lives to explore the passion they left behind and discover a love they never thought they would have.
Twelve years ago wrong side of the tracks bad boy, Jesse Weldon, was framed for a crime he didn't commit by the blue-blooded Jordan family. Now he's back in Savannah with his highly successful security company to put the Weldon name on the right side of the tracks. Unfortunately, before he can even make a move in that direction, he runs into Alexandria Jordan and ends up making the same mistake he did before. He succumbs to her allure, but this time, he plans on getting her out of his system for good and walking away.
Except for a few wild moments with Jesse at seventeen, Alexi Jordan has followed the life expected of her. But a Wedding Day betrayal from her blue-blooded fiancé has her running from her life and right into the arms of the man she'd never forgotten, Jesse. Yet as she forges a new future for herself amid the scandal of her aborted wedding, Alexi finds herself the target of a twisted killer and both her and Jesse's days are now numbered.

“Still a virgin on the run after all these years, Lexi?” he drawled. His voice, as steamy and seductive as Southern summer day, challenged her on an elemental level, a sensual one.
"Almost," Alexi said, letting the last illicit picture she had of Roger fall from her grasp to the ground. She'd only ever been with Roger and he didn't count. Not anymore. She sucked in air, latching onto Jesse's appeal. The reporters encircled them. Jesse lifted his hot gaze to her eyes and smiled.
"Almost?" Slow and sexual, his grin spread awareness over her. "Sounds frustrating. Interested in changing that?" He ran his finger under her chin and she caught her breath.
Yes, some part deep inside her shouted. Yes, she wanted to change that. Here was one situation her grandmother couldn't smooth over with a lie. With the cameras rolling, Roger and her grandmother would get a clear picture that Alexi meant it when she said she wasn't marrying Roger ever.
“Yes,” Alexi said to Jesse, stepping closer to him. Waves of his sex appeal washed over her. Waves she had no trouble remembering, though she'd only been seventeen when she'd last dipped into them. His nearness and touch sparked something inside of her that wanted to rebel against everything that had just happened to her. “Kiss me,” she demanded, loudly.
Jesse arched his brow and asked softly, "What's your game Lexi?” His slid an arm around her and pulled her flush to his chest, her breasts to his hard muscle. Then his mouth covered hers. She gasped at the desire shooting through her as his tongue entered her mouth, and his gaze dared her to respond.
She wound her arms around his neck, pressed closer to him, and met his tongue with hers. His eyes widened with surprise, telling her that he'd expected her to put him off rather than to take him up on his challenge. After that first moment, he didn't hesitate in delivering a four-alarm kiss. He bent her back over his arm, inserted his leg between hers and had one hand cupping her butt. In one kiss he ravished her from the inside out and she burned for more. By delivering a message to her grandmother, what message had she delivered to herself?
He ended the kiss, but kept her captive in his embrace as he stared into her eyes. The cameras continued to flash and the world swirled crazily. She ran her fingers into the silk of his hair and kissed him again, wanting to chase away the chill Roger had left inside her. Jesse groaned and deepened the kiss more.
Her heart pounded at the line she crossed by welcoming his embrace in so public a way. He smelled faintly of aftershave and some indefinable, but intriguing scent. His body, strong and sure, eased around hers, a balm to her chaffed emotions. Yet before she could lose herself in him, he ended the kiss. Emotion and desire colli

So I had a rough time with this book, but I actually almost liked it by the end. My rating is 2.5 stars.First of all, it really, really needs a good proofread. There are so many little mistakes that that alone was enough to drag me out of the story and throw me down the stairs. (I do that kind of proofing for book money, so it really stands out for me. If someone isn't picky, it might not be that bad.)
Then there was the virtual lack of any kind of *story* for the first, oh, half to 3/4 of the book. Just a lot of excuses to get from one sex scene to the next. If you are just reading for sex scenes, then you won't care about that. I thought the sex scenes were rather imaginative, with the fantasy angle, but honestly they didn't do much for me. They held my interest enough to actually read them, since they were fairly short, but I contemplated skimming through them almost every time.
In addition to the lack of story was the kind of conflict thrown into the spaces between the sex. I kept thinking, if these two would just talk instead of giving in to the boink fest.... Usually that means there wouldn't be much of a story to tell if they did talk, but in this case, there isn't much of a story in the first place. So, since I am a story-driven reader, I was left utterly disappointed for much of the book.
However, the book began to redeem itself toward the end. Alexandria turned out to be a pretty plucky heroine. I absolutely loved the scene where she stood up to everybody and left them all speechless. And some of the other times she chose to confront the awkwardness around her before she ran away rather than just plain running away were pretty good, too. If I attribute her unwillingness to believe that there was anything scary going on to some kind of deep faith in humankind, then I can almost overlook what would otherwise be TSTL blindness to reality. And Jesse, well, I thought the 2 second scene when he finally got the message that it wasn't just about sex was heartwarming.
Which reminds me, the sub-plot of the little girl in the hospital was the best part of the book. Got me teary-eyed more than once. (And not just because it is a sad thing when the sub-plot carries the book....)

Wild Irish Ride A Southern Steam Novel Weldon Brothers Book 1 edition by Jennifer Saints Romance eBooks Reviews
Took two years, but I finally finished this erotica. Lots of sex, maybe a tad too much - because the other plots, all three (the romantic entanglement, family dynamic evolution, and the mystery-thriller) were even better.
A nice beach read with a Southern rich girl and a boy from the wrong side of the tracks remeeting after a decade apart and finding their attraction had not stopped in the least even through her family opposes. But after nearly marrying a total jerk, Alexi isn't as wedded to the ideal of being a proper Southern lady anymore.
Editorial-wise, the biggest non-standard thing about this book is it is written in close third-person with head-hopping between the hero and heroine. I expect that in modern Romances, especially with a mystery-thriller side-line; what I don't expect is the flipping back and forth every two or so paragraphs. Normally POV is one person per chapter. A little startling at first, you get use to it the more you read and works okay for this book.
Picked up while free on in 2016.
So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.
It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?
I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.
Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.
Wild Irish Ride is a star-crossed lovers story with a stalker threat. The ending was really lame though. Else this would have gotten a higher rating.
Alexi Jordan had lived a controlled life except for a brief fling at seventeen when she was rescued by then young Jesse Weldon, 19. But they never did the deed even when she offered. She never saw him again. Twelve years later, Alexi received damning photos of her fiancee's infidelity merely 30 minutes before their wedding. Alexi stormed off, vowing to follow her heart rather than family pressure. When she happened to run into Jesse again, she kissed him and asked him to get her away... // Jesse knew he did the right thing... he wasn't going anywhere and he can't take Alexi's gift. Except he walked out, and was knocked out, and woke up having been framed for larceny, and was shipped off to the Marines the next day. Only the Jordan family could have done that. He was sadder but wiser. Twelve years later, he is a security specialist only visiting his brother back in town helping to deliver some equipment when he ran into Alexi... and he's rescuing her... again. And this time, Jesse and Alexi will resume what they started twelve years ago... but someone is in the shadows pulling strings... as it was clear a deranged stalker is after Alexi, and it is someone close... VERY close...
VERY nice shift from serendipity to romantic suspense. I wish the ending could have been handled better, which I won't spoil.
